Kalahari Plains Camp is to be the only permanent lodge within the productive Deception Valley area of the Central Kalahari Reserve.
Gameviewing in this area tends to be centred around the green season months December to April, when the animals disperse from permanent water sources into the blooming semi-desert. At other times of year the landscape is arid and game rather thin, although there remains a good population of cheetah in particular.
Kalahari Plains Camp opened in December 2008 and there are some great introductory rates presently being offered.
