Ntwetwe is the larger of the two main salt pans in the Makgadikgadi area of central Botswana. This may be an amazing location to visit, but it is a truly magical place in which to camp out.
We therefore prefer to visit Ntwetwe as an overnight trip out of the basecamp at
Planet Baobab. Guests drive down to the edge of the pans mid afternoon, proceeding out onto the pans by quadbike and camp out in bedrolls at the centre of an infinite horizon under an enormous Kalahari sky.
This may not be what you initially had in mind for your safari, but it really is one of the great African experiences.
