Nxai Xini Pan is located to the east of the main Nxai Pan northcentral Botswana. This small waterhole has served as a valuable resource for local game for millennia, as clearly demonstrated by the fossilised spore and stone tools to be found around its periphery.
We visit Nxai Xini usually as an overnight trip out of nearby Planet Baobab and often in combination with Ntwetwe Pan Bivouac. At last light guests are able to conceal themselves behind ancient bushman hunting blinds to wait for elephant and other game to come in to drink. The camp itself is a simple affair, just bedrolls and a campfire under the Kalahari sky.
