Mogotlho Lodge is located to the northeast of the Okavango in northern Botswana.
Although apparently in a rather marginal area close to the main overland route, this is actually a rather pleasant backwater, with its own private game areas, relatively little impacted by the passing traffic. The lodge itself is pleasantly simple, on a dry riverbed overlooking an active waterhole.
Mogotlho Lodge is certainly one of the best options in this lower price range. In combination with Gadikwe Camp, this makes for a smart way to raid the beautiful Mopane Tongue without getting too embroiled with the heavy safari traffic.
