Elephant Watch Camp is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro river inside Samburu game reserve in northcentral Kenya.

The camp is owned by Iain and Oria Douglas Hamilton, probably Africa's foremost elephant conservationists. Guests can therefore expect a superior level of guiding, with a special bias towards elephant and a real aversion to busy areas.

The camp itself is distinctly 'shabby chic', very highly personalised and full of character, underscored by a level of genuine environmental concern that puts virtually all other camps to shame. A little rough around the edges, but very special.
