Saruni Samburu Camp is located on the private 95,000ha Kalama Conservancy adjoining the northern border of Samburu game reserve in northcentral Kenya.
Bizarrely the camp itself is dramatically located atop a granite-domed mountain, in an extremely unusual style and with just six guest suites.
Game is a little bit thin up here at the moment, so guests may have to endure the long drive back and forth to the park for solid game-viewing, but more experienced safari guests will love the seclusion, the scenery and the gentle walks and drives around this very pretty area.
