Norfolk Hotel is located close to the centre of the city of Nairobi.
This historic hotel dates from the early colonial period and acted as the hub for social activity amongst the British community right up to independence.
These days the Norfolk is a decent hotel, one of the best in Nairobi, but one which uses its historic past as a license to overcharge quite considerably. With the history of fires, rebuilds and extensions, this is a poor facimile of its former self and really not worth this premium, which is the main reason we tend to use the more authentic and much cheaper
Fairview Hotel around the corner.
