Amboseli Sopa Lodge is located outside the eastern gate of the Amboseli reserve in southeast Kenya.
Sopa is a range of large motel lodges which caters for the middle-market packaged safari customer.
This large lodge is set in a wooded location, its large public areas and pool being surrounded by around 50 guest cottages.
Although the relatively remote location some 15km outside the reserve does give guests some respite from the traffic in central areas, the road in between can get rather tiresome when traversed repeatedly.
