Amboseli Serena Lodge is located in the south of the Amboseli reserve in southeast Kenya.
Serena is a range of large motel lodges designed to service the upper middle package tourist market. This huge facility has with 96 rooms, vast public areas, a swimming pool and a waterhole.
The major downside here is the density of safari traffic in this area, with several lodges outside the reserve and four huge lodges on the inside spilling literally hundreds of vehicles across a relatively small area of very flat and open terrain. Not a pretty sight in high season.
