Ol Tukai Lodge is located in the heart of the Amboseli reserve in southeast Kenya.
This huge facility, with its massive public areas and 80 guest rooms is pretty well presented for a lodge of its type, although a surprise to find that it was built as recently as 1996.
The major downside here is the density of safari traffic in this area, with several lodges outside the reserve and four huge lodges on the inside spilling literally hundreds of vehicles across a relatively small area of very flat and open terrain. Not a pretty sight in high season.
