Porini Amboseli Camp is located in a private conservancy some 30km north of the Amboseli reserve in southeast Kenya.
This very pleasant place, with just nine guest tents set in an acacia grove, really is a proper authentic safari camp ... a far cry from the huge motel lodges inside the reserve.
Guests here are free to game-drive and walk in splendid isolation here on the conservancy and there is also some extremely good Maasai interaction too. Most people do choose to raid Amboseli itself for a full day during their stay, but breathe a sigh of relief on returning to this peaceful backwater.
