Chyulu Hills

Chyulu is a range of hills lying between the flatlands of Amboseli and Tsavo, 75km to the northeast of Kilimanjaro.

Unlike the national parks either side, Chyulu attracts very few visitors, nor is it heavily populated, with just a spattering of Maasai villages. The area therefore retains a real sense of wilderness.

The hills themselves are flanked by sweeping grasslands and topped by dense forests, whilst the surrounding steppe contains some reasonable populations of game.

Guests to the two camps, Campi ya Kanzi and Oldonyo Wuas, come in search of a real authentic wilderness experience, with gentle game-viewing, walks, picnics, Maasai interaction and, of course, that fabulous view.
