This area to the extreme southeast of the Mara straddles the reserve itself and Maasai rangeland beyond.
The camps here enjoy considerable peace and quiet in comparison with adjacent heavy traffic areas. The portion of the reserve that they usually work is quite remote and reasonably productive. Outside the reserve, where the camps themselves are located, there is considerable incursion from domestic animals. The creation of a wildlife conservancy in this area is a pressing need which the camps will presumably address soon.
Cottars Camp is top quality, whilst
Impiripiri Camp is lower specification but worthy of consideration. Both usually need to be combined with camps in the
Olare Orok,
Governors or
Confluence areas.
