Hippo Point House is located on the more beautiful Little Lake to the east of Naivasha in the Rift Valley of southwest Kenya.
This incredible 1930's Elizabethan manor stands as one of the finest examples of colonial excess in Africa. It is a wonderfully out of place edifice, beautifully restored and with just seven lovely bedrooms. Only available for exclusive use, remarkably guests are asked to pay the same per person rate regardless of group size, which makes it a real steal for couples.
As with the nearby
tower, Hippo Point House is as good as this kind of madness gets ... a truly world class folly.
