Malawi is a beautiful little country, a quiet backwater with a real sense of 'old Africa'. Low visitor numbers derive from the lack of real solid game-viewing parks ... people come here for other reasons ...

Lake Malawi has some really lovely beach lodges, particularly on Likoma Island and around the Cape Maclear. These are commonly combined with safari in Zambia's South Luangwa.

Other locations tend to appeal to the more experienced safari traveller ... gentle game-viewing at Liwonde, tea plantations and walking around Mount Mulanje.
