Domwe Island is located about 2km offshore from Cape Maclear to the southern end of Lake Malawi.
The camp, which is set above a small beach on the western shore, comprises just three rooms. The island is renowned for its freshwater diving and kayaking, as well as some reasonably challenging hiking trails.
This old hippy hangout has been transformed into a very cool little lodge, but still retains the same laid back atmosphere.
Domwe now only offers self-catering accommodation and as such we rarely include it in our trips.
