Guludo Lodge is located on the mainland coast in the remote Cabo Delgado region of northern Mozambique.
The lodge is a reasonably simple affair, with a handful of tented rooms around a thatched public area, but nicely detailed and passionately run.
Guludo works well as a lower cost alternative to the pricey private islands in the area, especially in combination with Ibo Island Lodge.
Getting here is the problem, the twice weekly flight from Johannesburg being the only sensible option.
