Vamizi Island is located around 5km offshore in the remote Cabo Delgado region of northern Mozambique.
Arguably the finest small beach lodge in Africa, Vamizi is a ten room luxury lodge on its own very attractive private island, renowned for its diving and snorkelling.
Getting here is the problem, the twice weekly flight from Johannesburg or private charter from Dar es Salaam being the two options.
Works best in combination with a high end safari in Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania or Zambia, but you need to stay at least 5 nights to make the travelling worthwhile.
