Heinitzburg Castle is very pleasantly located on the brow of a small hill overlooking the centre of Windhoek.
The original castle, dates back to around 1915 and was converted into a hotel in the 1990's. Food, service and comfort are all what you would expect of a Relais Chateaux establishment.
Heinitzberg may not be all that much to write home about, but it is the only decent small hotel in Windhoek and is our usual first choice when needing to include an overnight stop in town.
