Caprivi Eastern Tip

The Eastern Tip is a wetland area wedged between Zambia to the north and Botswana to the south, a very busy and therefore not too attractive location.

The best lodges are those located to the northeast, Ichingo River and Impalila Island. These are tucked away in a backwater and are therefore able to offer some high quality water-based safari, stealing out into the busy Chobe channel only occasionally.

The two lodges to the south, Chobe Savannah and King's Den, are much more mainstream and concentrate mainly on the busy stretch of water upstream from the town of Kasane, where the wonderful experience of watching herds of elephant swim the river is so often spoiled by booze-cruise harrassment.
