As overland campsites go, Ngepi is quite a good one. Located just upstream from Ndhovu Lodge, the pitches are spread out under some shady trees.
There is a small bar and some reasonable ablution facilities in a bring your own seat kind of way.
You can hire canoes.
There are probably are no hippo in the river here, but do watch out for the crocs.
