Ongava is a large and attractive private concession area adjacent to the southern border of Etosha National Park.
Ongava Main Lodge is the oldest on the concession. The main building, although rather dated, does look out on a very active waterhole. There are 14 rooms, which have been recently rebuilt to a high standard.
This lodge represents probably the second best option in the area for self-drivers, we are anticipating the new Andersson's Camp to take top spot. Both are rather pricey, but do give you access to this excellent concession, which reduces your dependence on the busy game-veiwing areas inside the park.
