Ongava is a large and attractive private concession area adjacent to the southern border of Etosha National Park.
This really is a lovely little camp, with just 8 tents, a pleasant little bar and dining area, dip pool and a really good eye-level waterhole. The place feels so intimate that we found ourselves automatically lowering our voices to a whisper as soon as we arrived.
Whilst this is the most authentic safari camp in the whole Etosha area, we unfortunately use it only rarely. The problem is that it caters only for fly-in guests and our flying safaris tend to concentrate much more remote and wonderful areas of the country.
