Okonjima is home to the renowned Africat animal rescue and rehabilitation project, located roughly half way between Windhoek and Etosha.
Main Lodge is the the original guest facility, based around the farmhouse and with rooms scattered amongst formal gardens. It is the lowest cost accommodation at Okonjima and caters mainly for self-drive visitors. Guests are invited to visit the various animal projects, including tracking cheetah and leopard by vehicle and on foot.
We often include Okonjima for 1 or 2 nights at either end of a trip, using this simpler Main Lodge when trying to keep a lid on costs.
