Waterberg is an isolated area of upland wilderness which is of primary importance as a protected reserve for species such as eland and white rhino.

The area has a reputation for multiple day guided walking trails, although this remains very peripheral, since most visitors wanting to do a significant amount of walking in Namibia tend to head to the more dramatically scenic western side of the country.

Accommodation options in the area are also rather thin.

We rarely end up including Waterberg in trips, except for guests with previous experience in the country or very specific interests.
