Khaudum is an extremely inaccessible park in the far northeast corner of Namibia, just below the entrance to the Caprivi Strip.
The landscape is that of classic Kalahari bushveld ... dry, arid and with infamously deep sand on the roads. There are reasonable populations of elephant, roan, wildog and lion sustained by the few waterholes, but the game is unaccustomed to vehicles and rather shy.
There are no lodges in this area, so camping at one of the two campsites inside the park is the only option.
Although very peripheral to most visitors, we do occasionally include a 2 or 3 night guided safari into this park in combination with a visit to the bushmen at
Tsumkwe.
