Hobatere Lodge is located to the west of Etosha National Park in northwest Namibia.
This was one of the first lodges to be built in the region back in the 1980's and is now rather dated. Day and night drives, walks and two hides provide guests with a chance to see the game in the area, including good numbers of both lion and elephant.
For us Hobatere feels too much like a second rate private game reserve, although if plans to extend the protected game areas in this western side of Etosha proceed, the lodge could be a quick overhaul away from being somewhere much more attractive.
