Kavita Lion Lodge is located just below the western side of Etosha National Park.
The lodge is related to the famous cheetah conservation project at Okonjima. This lion project has met with a lot more problems however and does not operate a full rehab and release scheme. Instead guests are invited to visit the small number of long term inmates that are kept in large fenced pens.
Kavita is a pleasant place run by nice people, but we find that only rarely is it of sufficient interest to distract guests from lodges in more interesting areas.
