There are two main features of interest in southern Namibia ... Fish River Canyon and the coastal port of Luderitz.

But the vast majority of our trips include neither ... this southern area is simply too far a diversion for too little reward.

There are two quite common exceptions ...

If you are self-driving between Namibia and South Africa then you will naturally transit through here and may want to at least pull in at the Fish River Canyon.

If you are avid hikers, then the multiple day trek along the canyon may warrant the time and effort spent in getting here.
