Kulala Desert Lodge is located on the extensive Kulala concession adjacent to Sossusvlei in southwest Namibia.
Of all the lodges in the area, this is the one closest to the dunes. But whilst its position is superb, with a capacity of 36 guests, the place does lack a little intimacy. Guests can visit Sossusvlei, as well as going quad-biking, ballooning, walking and horseriding.
Kulala Desert can be included in both flying safaris and self-drive trips. It is similar to but rather less exclusive than nearby Little Kulala, but in this price range we tend to prefer the more intimate Kulala Wilderness. Works well as a 2 to 3 night stay.
