Sesriem Campsite is located at the entrance gate to Sossusvlei in southwest Namibia.
This public campsite is a sprawling affair that can get extremely busy, especially when the big overland trucks roll in. There are a dozen or more nice pitches, with low stone walls surrounding shady camelthorn trees, but these quickly fill up during the season. Not exactly a wilderness experience, but very convenient for Sossusvlei as, remarkably, campers here are permitted into the park half an hour earlier than high paying lodge guests.
