The Strand Hotel is located on the seafront to the northern edge of the historic quarter of Swakopmund in west Namibia.
This whole area of the seafront has the feeling of a run down-housing estate in northern Europe. The hotel itself caters for budget tour groups, who can be seen coming and going by the coach load.
