Swakopmund Hotel is located just to the north of the historic quarter of Swakopmund in west Namibia.
Large parts of this northern part of the town are dreadully scarred by second rate modern development. This previously magnificent train station has been refurbished into a decent enough modern hotel, but is dreadfully lacking in character given the potential.
Swakopmund Hotel is probably the best option for business travellers and people who require a high level of insulation between themselves and their environment, but it is not somewhere that we find ourselves including in trips very often.
