The capital of Rwanda is set amongst the hilly terrain of the central region. It is a sprawling town of relatively little architectural merit or general interest other than the usual local colour in the streets and markets.

For those who can handle it, there are two or three genocide museums in the town.

Most people travelling in Rwanda will find themselves overnighting here in order to make international flight connections.
