Situated in a rural area on the lakeshore, this typical Serena has 66 rooms, extensive public areas and a broad range of facilities.
The location is a little nebulous, it being a rather obscure place to put a beach resort and rather distant a base from which to visit the gorillas.
That said, Lake Kivu Serena is actually quite pleasant, reliable and relatively well priced lodge.
