Nyungwe Forest national park is located in the southwest of Rwanda. It is an area of heavily forested hills and plunging impenetrable valleys.
The park is home to a good number of different primates, most notably several troups of chimpanzee, of which two are in the process of being habituated to take visitors. For now however it is probably best to reckon against actually seeing them.
There is presently only one place to stay, which is the Nyungwe Restcamp at park headquarters.
