The Praslin Group of islands lies around 50km to the northeast of Mahe in the Seychelles.
The largest is Praslin Island itself, a beautiful granitic island which features the famous Vallée de Mai, sanctuary to the rare black parrot and coco de mer tree and some fabulous beaches of which Anse Lazio is the most famous. The island also offers a good range of accommodation.
Also very exciting are the smaller Aride Island, Cousin Island and Curieuse Island, all of which are nature reserves with no accommodation but accessible from Praslin on daytrips or on liveaboard boats out of Praslin Southeast and Mahe Victoria.
Cousine Island is private and contains a top end luxury lodge.
