At 3km in length, running from Anse Volbert in the west to Anse Gouvernment in the east, Cote d'Or is one of the longest and best known beaches on the island of Praslin.
It is also one of the most busy, by Seychelles standards at least, with a considerable settlement to the west and a string of resorts, small hotels and guesthouses running along most of its length. There are lots of facilities, including shops, restaurants and even a casino.
The best place to stay is perhaps the quietly located and mid-sized
L'Archipel Hotel,
Paradise Sun Hotel is a decent larger high-end resort, whilst
Village du Pecheur is quite a chic little small hotel.
