Silhouette Island is located 30km northwest of Mahe in the Seychelles.
This third largest island in the Seychelles has some spectacular mountain scenery and wonderful tropical flora and fauna. Much of the island is protected and provides some superb hiking trails, the highlight being the ascent of the 731m Mont Dauban.
There is a considerable settlement and a deepwater harbour on the eastern side of the island, with a few scattered estates in the coconut plantations around the island.
Hikers and nature lovers will no doubt find the huge
Labriz Resort rather overlarge for their tastes, so may chose to visit the island on a liveaboard and overnight off one of the more remote beaches.
