Southern Coral Group is the collective term for two islands which range between 135 and 300 km to the south of Mahe.
The more northerly is Île Platte, with Coëtivy Island 175km to the southeast.
Both are inhabited and have airstrips.
Coëtivy, pictured right, has a major shrimp farming facility, the produce from which is send by boat around the world.
There is no visitor accommodation.
