Pole Pole Lodge is located alongside Chole Bay on the island of Mafia off the coast of mainland Tanzania.
This is probably the most conventionally upmarket of the accommodations on the island, being pleasantly constructed and well fitted out. Being Italian owned the food here is to a particularly high standard.
If you are not up for the quirkiness and outdoorsiness of Chole Mjini and want a more conventional beach lodge then Pole Pole is as close as you will find on Mafia, although to be honest the beaches on Zanzibar are much better.
