Kilindi is located just to the south of Kendwa on the northwest of the island of Zanzibar.
Intended to be one of the most sensational beach properties in East Africa, the lodge is in a very nice west coast location, on a beautiful but still very tidal beach. It is set to be a lavish creation, with fifteen sumptuous suites and elegant public areas.
When we last visited in May 2009 Kilindi was not quite open and whilst we could see it was certainly going to be one of the better places to stay on the islands, whether it will actually reach the heady heights needed to command top dollar we felt was still open to question. More as we get it.
