Fairmont Zanzibar, previously known as Zanzibar Beach Hotel, is a very large facility of maybe 80 rooms, which seems to cater mainly for the South African packaged holiday market.
We do occasionally have guests looking for this type of larger facility, in which case we prefer to recommend Breezes or Blue Bay, which are able to offer a good range of facilities without feeling quite so touristy.
