Unguja Lodge is located on the southwest coast of Zanzibar island in Tanzania.
This is a relatively high specification Dutch owned lodge, with nice public areas centred around an excellent swimming pool and huge suite rooms set about pleasant gardens, but without a classic sandy beach.
We tend to recommend this lodge for longer stays on Zanzibar, in combination with the similarly high standard Matemwe Bungalows, the two offering a great combination of the classic East Coast beaches and this lesser visited and rather less obvious Southwest corner.
