Azanzi Beach Resort is located in the Matemwe area to the northeast of the island of Zanzibar.
Well situated to the north of the village, this small resort contains 35 guest rooms, pleasant public areas and a pool, all rather well presented. As the name implies, this place is quite resorty and does seem to be aimed at a more mainstream South African market, but is perhaps suitable for a rather wider audience.
Azanzi Beach Resort is the new kid on the block in this area and in the face of stiff competition from the nearby Matemwe Beach and Matemwe Bungalows.
