This small British owned guesthouse enjoys probably the finest location on the island, a fabulous beach in a secluded bay. The lodge itself is simple and unpretentious, but enjoys relatively high levels of service.
Pongwe Beach is the best value mid-price beach lodge in Tanzania and suitable for a wide range of folks, which makes getting availability here a bit of a mission, so please try to book early.
Divers may be better off staying further north at Matemwe Beach.
