There are several old houses in Stonetown which have been converted into small bed and breakfasts such as this.
Although this particular house is not architecturally the most impressive, Beit al Chai is excellently located on the 'poshest' square in town and is very tastefully appointed.
We tend to use Beit al Chai when 236 Hurumzi is full and then only when the guests are sure that they can get by in this crazy town without the kind of front desk services that are absent in a place this small.
