Considerable extension works in 2005 saw the previously modest Dhow Palace transformed from a modest 18 room hotel into a rather larger 37 room facility.
Whilst it is true that a good part of the atmosphere of the old place was lost, guests are compensated by additional facilities including a pool and rooftop restaurant, along with the continued friendly service.
Dhow Palace remains the best mid-price hotel in Stonetown, although we do strongly recommend most guests to upgrade to 236 Hurumzi if at all possible.
