Zanzibar Coffee House is located in the heart of the madness that is Stonetown.
Contained within a relatively modest three storey building, the ground floor of the hotel is a popular little coffee house, with a handful of rooms on the first and second floor, topped out by a sweet little rooftop tea house where meals are served.
Zanzibar Coffee House may not have quite the same panache as 236 Hurumzi, nor the stature of the adjacent Swahili House, but it does represent a decent, intimate, reasonably authentic and lower cost alternative here in the heart of the old town.
