Ilboru is a locally owned lodge located in a rather busy 'garden suburb' about fifteen minutes to the north of Arusha town.
The lodge offers amongst the best mid-price accommodation in Arusha. Levels of service may be rather less those at higher end places like Moivaro Lodge, but the gardens are some of the best kept in Tanzania and the swimming pool is enormous.
We use Ilboru as a base for our group climbs on the Shira route on Kilimanjaro and for private climbs and safaris where the guests are really trying to pare costs back wherever possible.
